A process maps a typical, recurring workflow and serves as the blueprint for your tasks. It is structured hierarchically: process steps, forms and items. For steps and forms you define whether they have to be completed in a fixed order or can be worked on freely.

Every process goes through a clear status workflow before it takes effect in production.
- Draft: an employee creates the process – e.g. with the help of the AI agent.
- In review: the process is submitted for review.
- Approval: an employee or manager with approval rights reviews the process and sets it back to draft or to active.
- Active: only active processes can be used for tasks – and only they have an economic impact on your company. Active processes cannot be deleted.
- Deactivated: if a process is no longer needed, you deactivate it. Draft, in-review and deactivated processes can be deleted.
This way, nothing goes live that hasn’t been reviewed.

At Fastlane, data protection is built in from the ground up, not retrofitted.
Anonymity principle: by default, operators are not recorded as individuals – no user master data, no tracking. A personal attribution only exists where it is strictly necessary for the business, for example for safety-relevant approvals – and then it is a deliberate decision in the process, not the norm.
As the licensee, you are responsible under data protection law for your processes, content and their GDPR compliance. Fastlane makes this as easy as possible: you maintain all relevant information – responsible company, data protection officer, data subject rights, competent supervisory authority, contact options – directly in the editor. From there it flows automatically into the disclaimer of your mobile app, without any additional technical effort.
